// OPTIONAL EXPERIENCE

KAYAKING AMONG
THE ICEBERGS

WEATHER PERMITTING

If weather conditions and the glacier lagoon are safe, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable kayaking experience among the icebergs. If conditions aren’t suitable, we’ll replace it with another amazing activity to ensure you still have an incredible experience.

// ESSENTIAL TRAVEL TIPS

BEFORE YOU
GO

A few practical notes to help you arrive prepared and travel with respect in Iceland.

// PACKING ADVICE

WHAT TO BRING

  • Waterproof jacket and pants — Icelandic weather shifts by the hour.

  • Sturdy waterproof hiking boots for glaciers and waterfalls.

  • Layer up: merino base, fleece mid, windproof shell.

  • Swimsuit for geothermal rivers and hot springs.

  • Warm hat and gloves, even in summer.

  • Camera with weather sealing for spray and wind.

// BEST TIME TO VISIT

WHEN TO GO

  • June–August: endless daylight and accessible highlands.

  • Sept–Oct: autumn colors and first aurora chances.

  • Nov–March: ice caves and Northern Lights.

  • Shoulder seasons mean fewer crowds and lower costs.

// LOCAL ETIQUETTE

TRAVEL WITH RESPECT

  • Stay on marked trails — the landscape is fragile.

  • Never cross private farmland without permission.

  • Tap water is safe and excellent — refill, don’t buy bottled.

  • Tipping is not expected.

  • Drive defensively on F-roads and single-lane bridges.
